Payton is 3 months!

Alot has happened in Payton's life since my last post (sorry it has been so long)! Miss Payton has accomplished SO MUCH in the last couple months it just amazes me. She rolls over front to back AND back to front, coos, smiles all the time, squeals, and even laughs. She is such a blessing in our lives and just warms your heart.

Payton took her very first trip to Disneyland over Easter weekend. She did really well and enjoyed seeing all the lights and bright characters. Disneyland has this wonderful place called the Baby Center that allowed me to nurse in private. They had comfortable rocking chairs, changing tables, you name it. At first I didn't think it would be a problem to use my cover and nurse anywhere, but once I tried out the baby center, I was hooked. KC took Erin on rides while I fed Payton, it worked out really well. The only problem we had was with Erin. Our first day there she fell down and bumped her head. She seemed fine for a while but then she got sick to her stomach ALL OVER THE PLACE! Poor thing. Silly mommy never thought to pack extra shirts in her bag, just pants and underwear. Grandma was nice enough to buy her a new shirt while KC took her to the first aid center. Because of her fall the nurse suggested we take her to the room and let her rest. Erin slept all afternoon until about 3am. At this time she was WIDE AWAKE and ready to go to Disneyland! HaHa. Overall it was still a great trip!

At two months I had to take her in for her first set of vaccinations and it broke my heart. I thought that I would be ok since I just went through all the vaccines with Erin, but it is still awful! She received 3 pokes in her thighs and DID NOT enjoy them one bit. The first poke she looked at me like "what the heck was that?" Then second poke looked like "OMG I don't like this" along with the crying, then the third poke came with LOUD shreiking screams. She even held her breath for a while. The dr weighed her in at almost 13lbs and gave us the go ahead to pierce her ears. YAY! Two days later grandma and I took her down and Payton now has pretty little diamond studs! So cute!

In May Payton experienced her first plane ride out to Texas. She was such a good baby I was in shock. I was REALLY stressed out about flying with 2 kids, but my mom was a huge help! The girls LOVED visiting with their grandpa, cousins, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Danny. Even today Erin still asks when she can go back to April's house. Oh how I wish we lived closer!
