Misc fun in June

These are just a few pictures of some fun we've had in June. One of Paytons favorite things is running and "pouncing" on Erin. As she's running she's squealing/laughing and then just falls on top of her making Erin laugh/squeal as well. It's so much fun watching my girls get along so well, they truly love each other so much!

Don't you just love the picture of Payton passed out on her changing table? I can't remember where we went, but she was SO TIRED that she slept through me changing her diaper and putting her jammies on. I couldn't resist grabbing a pic of it.

This year we decided to take the girls to the Livermore rodeo. The Wednesday before the "main event" they have family night. Free admission with $1 hot dogs and drinks, who can beat that? What's nice is on Wednesday all of the locals are competing/qualifying. I knew quite a few of the ropers and was excited to see them "perform".

Missy's Graduation

In June the McColm family had the pleasure of driving out to Las Vegas to see my best friend of 32+ years graduate from University of Phoenix. This was a special moment not only because Missy graduated, but because she wore my cap and gown from MY graduation 3 years ago. We've been friends since birth and then graduated from the same college! KC and I took the girls around Vegas to do what little "kids stuff" they had available. Play time at Circus Circus was Erin's favorite. The girls got to see a couple circus acts, played games, and even rode a couple rides. After graduation we all rented a cabana at one of the casino pools. That was SO MUCH FUN and I highly recommend forking out the money for a cabana! During the times you are not in the pool, we were able to relax in a covered area with fans, mist, our own "pool boy" and all the drinks we could handle. Congratulations Missy! Luv ya!

Misc springtime fun!

Now that it's starting to warm up we are able to walk/ride over to the nearby park for some fun. Erin LOVES riding her bike while Payton feels like such a hotshot on her trike. Payton had no fear when it came to the park, running around on everything and climbing up everything she could. We're gonna have to keep a strong eye on her!!! I've also added a couple cute pictures from the month, the girls LOVE playing in the clothes hamper together. They are such good friends! Payton is a great sleeper...I just can't figure it out because she sleeps in the most twisted positions I've ever seen.

Happy Easter

The girls had a really nice Easter this year. Since it fell on the same weekend as KC's birthday, they got to spend the night with their cousins, Auntie Jeni, and Uncle Quiet. That morning KC and I drove out to Stockton for an Easter lunch/dinner and fun. This was Payton's first time searching for Easter eggs. Since she's 1 we told the older kids to leave the obvious eggs on the floor for her to pick up. We gave Payton a head start for the search and instead of picking up eggs off the floor she went right for a hidden one on the bookshelf. Then she proceeded to the windowsill to grab another one. So much for giving her the "obvious" eggs.

The weekend before Easter we went to a Mom's Group gathering at Wente winery. It was SO beautiful outisde and the girls had fun playing with their friends and participating in an Easter egg hunt. They also got to meet the Easter bunny. Payton couldn't stop staring at him, she wasn't sure....but at least she didn't cry!

We had a great time decorating eggs with Erin this year. This was the first time she was really able to do some all by herself. She is finally understanding what "easy" means so that she doesn't splash the dye and crack the egg. She did a great job decorating.....until the neighborhood kid came over and took her attention away. HaHa.

Birthday Fun!

Erin's birthday, Payton's birthday, mommy's birthday OH MY! Depending on how you look at it KC is either lucky or unlucky to have all 3 of his girls' birthdays in one week.

We celebrated Erin's 4th birthday first and had a great party with all of her friends and family. Erin decided that she wanted a Wizard of Oz cake so I sent my request to Chantel and out came an AMAZING cake. The inside was the different colors of the rainbow and it went so fast that I didn't even get a slice. All of Erin's friends came over and decorated their own cupcakes, made their own aprons and just had a blast tearing up the house.

The following weekend we celebrated Payton's First birthday! Grandma Karen flew all the way out from Texas to celebrate and we had a blast. Alot of our family came out to celebrate as well. Auntie Stacy made Payton's Mickey Mouse cake and it was HUGE! We also had a special crash cake made just for her to devour. She ate SO MUCH cake we were all amazed. She just kept eating, and eating, and eating. At one point she got frustrated because she could't reach it all.

Both parties were a huge success. We are truly blessed!
