Fun at the beach!

We had such a fun time at the beach this weekend. My family was in town from Texas so we decided to tag along with them to Half Moon Bay. Erin was a little afraid of the water at first, but after taking daddys hand and running in, she loved it. She giggled as the waves "chased her". Lee and Alexandra had NO PROBLEMS getting right in the freezing water and body surfing. April was still pretty scared, especially after she got knocked down by the wave. KC and the kids dug a big hole and decided to bury Erin in it. She was a little scared but KC kept reassuring her that she would be ok. The part she hated most was "rinsing off" all the sand in the ocean. It was SO COLD! Payton LOVED the sand. At first she stuck her feet in the sand and kept wiggling her toes around in it. After a while I let her sit on the towel and touch the sand with her hands. She was really intrigued by the feel of it running through her fingers. I decided to be brave and put Paytons feet in the water fully expecting her to cry because of the cold. Surprisingly she did great. She wasn't sure about her feet sinking in the sand, but still kept a smile on her face. She loved standing in it. It was so good to see my family I wish I had more time or lived closer. Maybe some day I'll win that battle! HaHa.

Miss Payton sits up!!!

My baby girl is growing up!!! Just a couple of weeks ago Miss Payton started sitting up all on her own. She loves being surrounded by her toys so that she can pull out what she pleases and then toss them down when done. Usually we give her the two bins full and she works on taking the toy out of one and putting it in the other, but usually on the floor. One of her favorite toys is the pink ball. She likes passing it back and forth between her hands, it's fun watching her learn how to do this. She drops the ball often but is doing a great job "getting it". In one pic, you will notice that she's giving the camera "the bird". This was not intentional! I didn't even notice the picture until I uploaded it and my mom started laughing. She will definitely get a kick out of this when she is older!

Keith and Jan's 25th Anniversary Party

On July 25th KC, Jen, Wyatt and I surprised their parents with a 25th Wedding Anniversary party and vow renewal ceremony. The party was so much fun, I mostly enjoyed getting the girls all dressed up! Erin had a blast running around with her cousins Tyler and Madison while Payton showed off her baby blues to all of the guests. Jan was REALLY surprised, thinking that we were taking her to dinner on a riverboat. We had Harmony make a wedding cake for them and decorated the house with original items from their wedding (dress, cake topper, favors, etc). Aunt Dolo copied a bunch of pictures from their wedding and decorated the house with them. Everyone loved seeing all of the photos. Overall it was a memorable day that I'm sure they will never forget!
