Payton is 4 months old!!!

Payton turned 4 months on the 26th and had her well baby checkup. My chunky monkey is just under 15lbs and 24 1/2 inches tall. A whole pound heavier than Erin was but 1 inch shorter. Her eyes are still blue as ever and the dr says that she is a very healthy little girl! I was given the ok to start cereal/solids so we tried it for the first time this weekend. At first she started out taking it very well, but then she decided that she HATED it!

We took Payton swimming twice this weekend but only took pictures once. Payton isn't too sure about the water (probably because it's cold) so I need to keep taking her so that she gets used to it. I refuse to have one of those kids that freaks out everytime their face gets wet, LOL...baby steps though. Once I was holding her close to me she was ok.....until I dunked her. She didn't quite have the reaction that Erin did her first time being dunked.

Father's Day and stuff

For Father's Day we took the girls to the Santa Cruz beach Boardwalk. We had a blast! Erin was able to go on alot of rides, even the Rock-O-Planes which shocked me! You can't see her in the yellow cage, but she's in there with KC. As the ride went in a circle, KC was able to rock the cage into flips. He even locked the cage upside down!!! I was a little freaked out for her. Payton did really well the whole day too. She loves hanging out in here Bjorn carrier!

I just had to share a picture of Miss Erin with braids in her hair. She was so proud of them even though they were only a couple inches long. Erin loves using grandmas camera! She made grandma and I pose for a picture when we were doing crafts, in our PJ's. HaHa. She even told us to hug each other for the picture.

Here are a couple more bath pics with the girls. We got Payton a bath chair so that she can take baths with her big sister. Erin was so excited to help wash her and Payton just loved sitting in that warm water!

A Day at the Zoo

A couple Sundays ago we decided to go to the Oakland Zoo. We have an annual membership that was about to expire so we thought it would be a great time to go. We had so much fun! Erin LOVES seeing all the animals and especially loves the train/roller coaster/carousel ride at the end. Payton really enjoyed hanging out in her Baby Bjorn while we walked around. She was quite the trooper.

My growing girls!

Here are some more pics of my growing girls! I am just so proud of how Erin has handled this "major change" in her life. She absolutely LOVES her sister and can't get enough of her. She is so "grown up" for a little 3 year old! And just look at how quickly Payton is growing. This girl amazes me every single day. She has such a personality and is finally able to sit in her jump up and high chair. She also received her first bath in the "big" bathtub. Erin was SO excited because she got to help wash her baby sister! Finally, you can see Erin posing with her Nemo puzzle. This was Erin's first time completing a 100 piece puzzle all by herself! She is a whiz at completing puzzles and I can't believe she is only 3 years old and completing puzzles of this size! Genius!

Fun in the sun

Payton is growing so much every day. She is always amazing me with her developments. She already has quite a personality.....and a vicious TEMPER! When she is mad the whole world knows. She also has the ability to create "insta-tears". I think it's funny. Towards the end of May (whatever day was 100 degrees outside) we took the girls swimming. As you can tell from the pics, Payton was all smiles.....until we put her in the pool! The water was SOOOO COLD that even in 100* weather, she hated it! Of course Erin had no problem jumping right in and showing us her awesome swim skills.

For Memorial Day we decided to take the girls to Pixieland. This place is AWESOME for kids! They have about 7 different "kiddie" rides and it's fairly cheap. Erin loved riding all of the rides while Payton just enjoyed being outside in the fresh air. We also took the girls out to the park by our house. This is one of Erin's favorite things to do! She LOVES the slides and was so excited to show her sister the park. Payton wasn't quite sure what to think of the slide, but showed us alot of her personality in pictures. These are some of my favorite pics of her! She just loves being outside and you can tell just by looking at her.
