and Miss Payton is growing like a weed!!!! I can't believe how big she's getting, already almost 11 pounds. Last week she had another hearing test and unfortunately failed in her right ear. We had to go back in to the hospital 4 days later for an extensive hearing test that would tell us exactly what kind of hearing problems we might be dealing with. These appointments are horrible as we have to keep her awake for 2 hours before the appointment AND refrain from feeding her until we get there. My poor mom had to sit in the back and out an ice pack on her arms/face to keep her awake during the 45 minute car ride to the hospital. It was awful! THANKFULLY she passed the extensive test. There was no nerve damage and the problem is caused from her REALLY small ear canal & excessive wax/fluid buildup. The dr said that her canal should grow with her and that we just have to monitor her ears.
Payton has learned how to roll over already and smile. It is the most heartwarming feeling when you see your baby girl look into your eyes and grin. I was FINALLY able to get a picture of her cheesy smile today! I'm also very excited to add that Miss Payton LOVES Mickey Mouse!!! She will just lay there and stare at Mickey. Yesterday she even started reaching out for him! Looks like we have another crazed disney family member!!!
Big Sister Erin is still a very proud sister! She still loves to help us change diapers, give Payton her bath, and dress her. A few days ago I took Payton with me to pick Erin up from daycare and all Erin did was tell her friends "see my baby sister?" "that's MY baby sister!" "come look at my baby sister!" It was so precious! It is so amazing to me how much bigger Erin looks now that I have an infant in the house.
