On 1/29/08 I started my maternity leave from work. I started the day off by going to my dr's appointment (I have to go every week now and get checked). Dr Newman checked me and said that she'd bet money Payton will come within 2 weeks. AHHH!!! I'm dilated (only to 1, no big deal), completely thinned out, and she could easily feel her head. She told me that I would start getting more and more contractions along with more discomfort. After coming home from my appointment I started to feel miserable!!! At one point the contractions were getting regular and I started to get a little worried that she may have started labor. Thankfully I went to bed and they went away. On Friday I was still pretty uncomfortable but not as bad. I just have this problem of feeling like she's going to "fall out" if I walk too much. Some sharp pains, but that's completely normal. So this week I have been getting the house ready for a new baby. I still don't have my bag packed (maybe tonight) but I did get Payton's bag done, her bassinet set up and all her clothes put away. The bottles (for when I pump) are in the wash and I cleaned/organized my cupboards to make room for them. All I really have left to do is get the living room in order. Hopefully KC will help me because I am TIRED!!! Let's just hope I can hold out until my mom gets here on Thursday AND Erin's birthday party ends on Sunday!
Erin has been really excited for her little sister to come. Every morning she wakes up and asks me if she gets to see her baby sister today. I think she's getting tired of hearing "no, maybe in a few weeks!" She loves singing her ABC's to Payton...through my belly button. I have to remember to video tape it!
